CUSTOMS REVENUE.

Wellington, May 1 Towards the Customs revenue for April the principal ports contributed as follows : — Auckland £27,338 Wellington 24,980 Lyttelton& Christchurch 19,839 Dunedin 32,355 The total for the colony was L126.22D. For March last the revenue was L 123.607, and for April 1889, L 116.045. Auckland, Tauranga, Wellington, Nelson, Greymouth, flckilika, Timara, Dunedin, and Invercargill show an increase as compared with the March returns, while New Plymouth, Poverty B*y, Patea, Wanganui, Wairau, Picton, Westport, Lyttelton, an Oamaru show a decline. The beer duty for April was : — Auckland L 902 Wellington 530 Christchurch 831 Dnnedln 1239 The total for the colony was £4084. For March it waR L 5.374, and for April, 1889, L 4.622. Wellington and Invergill show a Blight increase for the month.
