IMMORALITY.
Dunedin, July 28. At Lawrence a Chinaman, Sing Lee, was fined LlO and 5s costs for permitting prostitutes to n?eet in his house in the Chinese camp. The evidence disclosed that the wife of accused was fn the habit of decoying young women from Dunedin by engaging them as servants and then informing them they would have to lead an immoral life. Revell, R.M., said the evidence disclosed a disgusting state of affairs, the moral atmosphere being somewhat frightful.
