MASSACRE OF CHRISTIANS IN ANNAM.
Paris, January 8,
Advices are to hand from Annam announcing a further massacre of Christians by rebels. The Mission station was attacked by natives who killed the Catholic missionary in charge of the station, together with five hundred converts. General De Courcy hearing of the disaster promptly sent a body of French troops, and inflicted severe punishment on the murderers.
