THE NEW RIFLE ASSOCIATION MEETING.
Wanganui, January 6,
The programme of the New Zealand Rifle Association meeting will be published on the 15th inst, and immediately forwarded to members of the Association and Captains of corps throughout the colony. The programme is somewhat similar to that of last year. The amount of money to be competed for is about £950. There is an extra match to be called the match, 200 yds, standing, 10 shots. The Wanganui match will amount to £100 in money and many valuable t-ophies. There will be only one team match open to all branches of the service, the first prize for whi -h will be £50 and champion team of the colony. The register keepers will use black boards in addition to scoring sheets, and competitors will not be allowed to go near the register keepers. There will be twenty targets, and the meeting will be got through in seven days.
