AUSTRALIAN NEWS.
(Received December 13, at 11 a.m.) RECEPTION OF LORD CARRINGTON. Sydney, December 12. The official reception of Lord Carrington, the new Governor, took place this afternoon. There was an imposing demonstration. The streets were lined with mobs of people, who accorded the most enthusiastic welcome to Lord and Lady Carrington.
