UNUSUAL PROSECUTION.
Auckland, October 16,
A prosecution of an unusual character came before Police Court to-day, the Police Offences Act being utilised to secure the removal of objectionable tenants. The magistrate dismissed the case on the evidence. The solicitor applied for costs, and said the prosecution was an attempt to wrest criminal law to a wrong purpose. The Bench declined to allow costs.
