WELLINGTON REGATTA.

Wellington, January 27. The events on the regatta programme which were postponed from Tuesday last were got off yesterday afternoon. The weather was fine, with a fresh north-east wind blowing. The Volunteer Boat Race was won by the Petone Navals. The Handicap Yacht Race won by the Sappho (Smin.), The Pot (7min.), a bad second. The Camma won the second-class race by fully four miles. The Ships' Boat Go-as-you-please Race was Avon by a crew from the ship Margaret Galbraith. The Coasters' Race was struck off the programme.
