WESLEYAN CONFERENCE.
Wellington-, January 22. At the Wesleyan Conference this morning, the folloAving probationary ministers —Revs Rooke, Dukes, and Griffen—underwent their final examination before the Conference, and Avere admitted into full connection as ministers. Revs Watkin and Kidd were thanked for their services as principal and tutor of the Wesley College, Avere re-appointed. Rev. J. Smalley, supernumerary, Avas re-admitted to full work. Five students for the Ministry Avere appointed to receive tuition at the Wesley College. At the Wesleyan Conference this afternoon, the examiners of the ministerial candidates Avere appointed for 1884. Scandinavian and Maori Avorks Avere revieAved, the Revs E. Nielson and Heteriaki Warihi addressing the Conference. The report of the Rev. Best on Chinese work Avas read and received. Rev. J. LeAvis brought up the annual pastoral address, Avhich was adopted. After some discussion, the second reading of the ministerial stations will be taken on to-morroAv morning.
