SHIP MATAURA ARRIVED.

Dunedin, Januaryy 17. Arrived — Mataura, Captain Cruickshank, from London on the 7th January. During a sou'-west gale, Leon Oliver, aged 21 years, a native of Mauritius, and an ordinary seamen, fell from the fore top, striking the topgallant sail. The captain endeavored to wear the ship, but the man at the wheel reported Oliver dead Latest. The barque Mataura, from London, drawing 17ft 2in, was successfully brought up the Victoria channel to Dunedin wharf. This is the first English vessel to discharge in Dunedin. A large croAvd received her with enthusiasm.
