The Government telegraphed to Dr Ftatherstone expressing surprise that he had not officially informed them of his illness, and still greater surprise at his appointing Mr Morrison to act for him, after receiving intimation that Mr Morrison's resignation altogether was desirable, and positive instructions had been given to dispense with Mr Morrison's services. The Government wish July an to act when Dr Featherstone is unable. They also intended to form a Board of Advice in London to assist the AgentGanerai.
