P. rrascr, Minister 'f Education, who is paying an official visit to Fcilding, yesterday met the Taonui School Committee and settlers who Avero protesting against a proposed consolidation Avhich meant tho closing of their school. The Minister said he had no intention of forcing the consolidation of unAvilling settlers, but Avould give them further time to consider the question. They might in time see the benefits that such a plan would bring. On the previous night the Minister met the hoard of managers of the Feilding Agricultural High School and heard requests for improved conditions.
