MOTORIST IN FURTHER, TROUBLE. (Press Association). WELLINGTON, May 20. William AlcEoynokls, who was .sentenced in the Supreme Court on a major charge, came up in the Magistrate's Court to-day charged with being in charge of a motor-car while in a state of intoxication. Counsel suggested that, in view of the fact that. Alcßeynolds had been dealt with on a major charge, flic present one should be withdrawn, but Detective-Sergt. Revel! said lie had been instructed to proceed. It would lie necessary to call evidence and possibly bring witnesses from a distance. The hearing of the case was sot. down for .May 20. BROKER SENT To GAOL <Pross Association? WELLINGTON. Alay 20. Charles Gordon Alackersnek, aged LI years, an o'gsnismg broker, was to-day sentenced by Air. 10. D. Aloroley, S.M., to imprisonment for four months w’ih hard labour on tlirec charges of false pretences; and two of theft, the 'sentences to be concurrent. The offences' were connected with deposits, given, on sections at. Trentham and the sale of certain shades. The accused had previously been given a. term of probation for false pretences, and since 1931 had been an undischarged bankrupt.
