Captain Eddie Riekenbacker’s big twin-motored transport plane landed at Newark airport iroui Los Angels at S.-15 p.lll. eastern standard time on Thursday, setting a trans-Contin-ental record of 12 hours 4 minutes for transport planes. The old record, held by himself, was 13hrs. 2min.
