MRS ALLAN CAMERON

She arrived in Wellington harbor oa the sailing ship Blenheim on Deceit her 31, -.1840, and landed on Petone Veactf with her parents on Now Year’s f Hay, 1841.. being, carried ashore on the hack of. a Maori. She was a schoolgirl at the time of the great earthquake in 1-800, and was mneii interested in the changes it- made. She spent much time inspecting the cracks and vents giving off steam anu examining the changed landscape.
