WIN FOR TOLAGA BAY

Tolaga Bay won the champion of champions pairs tournament conduct ed by the Gisborne Centre. Their opponents in the final were Poverty Bay, who had one "life” at the beginning of play.

Boss and Hurlstone were the Tolaga Bay pair,, (while G. Slight and McKenzie represented Poverty Bay. In the first game Poverty' Bay had an easy' victory by' 24—9, but the Coast pair reversed matters completely' in the second game; winning 22—S and taking the title.
