OBITUARY
MRS j. G. JOHNSTONE
The death occurred of Mrs Phoebe Emily Johnstone ■yesterday incoming, as the result of injuries received in. a lorry accident the previous day, will be received wth the greatest regret, for she was a- lady,, of kindly disposition and one who "had a very wide circle of friends.
Tile late Mrs Johnstone was born 65 years ago at Cheltenham, England, and as a young woman, travelled extensively in India' and later in New Zealand. In 1904 she married Mr John George Johnstone and the couple settled at Matawai, but later removed to Waihirere, where Mrs Johnstone has resided since. Mr Johnstone died about a year ago, but a family of one son and two daughters remains, to whom especial sympathy will be extended. The son is Mr W. Johnstone, of North Auckland, and the daughters Mrs Tuhoe and Miss M. E. Johnstone, of Waihirere.
The funeral will leave St Luke’s Church, Waerenga-a-hika, at 2.30 p.m. to-day' for Taruheru cemetery.
