We have had the. holq tho shiiigh’, tho higgle, the Eton crop, the windswept, and many other styles. Now it is to be the will o’ the wisp. That is the name cf the new spring stylo evolved l> v the Hairdressing Fashions Committee after lengthy private d'-k liberations
In brief, blie- wid -o' ih 0 wisp resembles' a.' shingle '■with ;v >ring of little upturned curls, -which completely' surrounds tho he:u!. It should bo a popular style, as it lends It soli to adaptation and lias no bard lines. This style is also particularly suitable- for wear with, the prevailing hat fashious, which leave much of the head onposed. , , The hair is parted at the side and waved diagonally. Across the forehead there is a row of curled wisps .of hair which have an upward tilt. At the side the upward effect- is enhanced. by a large “swoop’’ wave.
The-.parting is carried, right- down tho back of the head. The hair on cither side at the nape of the neck, which is not more than two inches in length, is dressed to suit each individual, and- completes the circle of upturned ringlets, which frames the entire head.
For evening wear those ringlets are coloured with a new lacquer dressing. They can ho gold, silver, red or green or -a combination of two Colours, to match the- dress which is being worn at,the time. The lacquer hold s the- curls in position and can ■bp combed . out again for day wear Without spoiling the sot of the hair.
