At the Supremp Court to-dav, before Mr Justice Sim, John Miller was charged with at Cwaka, on or about October 20, indecently assaulting two girls under the age of sixteen years, and charged alternately with common assault, was found not guilty and discharged. George Thomas Burgess, charged with indecent assault at Green Island on December 27, respecting a girl under the age of si-xteen, was found not guilty and discharged. The Judge remarked that accused c-ould consider himself fortunate that he had found such a jury. Ivan “Walter William Hanning, who pleaded guilty in the lower court to breaking and entering premises at Palmerston and stealing goods valued at £l3 0s 6d, was admitted to probation for three years. William McKinnel, on a charge of assaulting Heprv Baviev, was fined £IOO. George Alexander Mason, who wa--found guilty of dishonestly obtaining three pairs of socks valued a I 15s 6d and a necktie, valued at 4s 6d, was admitted to probation for a period of two years-
