AUSTRALIAN CHAMPIONSHIP. PATTERSON GOES DOWN. ADELAIDE, Jan. 25. Participating in the Australian tennis championship singles, G. L. Patterson was beaten by Queensland’s second player, E. F. Moon. Hie admirable manner in which Moon returned Patterson’s services was the chief factor in tho Queenslander’s success. This is the second occasion in two months that Patterson has been defeated in championship tennis, and on both occasions by second-grade players.—U.P.A.
