MOTOR CYCLE COLLISION.
ONE MAN KILLED AND ANOTHER INJURED.
NEW PLYMOUTH, Dec. 28. A ratal motor cycle accident occurred yesterday near Oakura, William Northern, 21, a son of an Awakino storekeeper, being killed and \ alentine Green, 20, a farm laborer, seriously . nnfured. Apparently they tried to pass each other while abreast ot a motor car and collided. Northern had his skull fractured. Green suffered a compound fracture of the ankle.—P.A. YOUTH SUSTAINS BROKEN HIP. COLLISION "WHILE MOTOR CYCLING? CHRISTCHURCH, Dec. 28. Donald Rutledge, a youth was admitted to hospital with a broken hip, the result of a collision while motor cycling.—P.A. ’BUS GOES OVER BANK. PASSENGER INJURED.
THAMES, Dec. 28. The Postmaster at Patetonga., H. Robertson, sustained injuries through a ’bus skidding and going over a 15ft bank while returning from the Auckland races. The driver and another passenger were thrown clear, Robertson being pinned under the vehicle. He received first aid and was taken to hospital.—P.A. FOUND DEAD UNDER OVERTURNED CAR. DUNEDIN, Dec. 28, John Mitchell, a slieepfariner, of Outram, was killed in a motor accident at Deep Stream yesterday. A passing motorist found the car overturned and Mitchell underneath. FATALITIES IN NEW SOUTH WALES. SEVERAL KILLED AND MANY INJURED. SYDNEY, Dec. 28. The usual crowd of motor accidents occurred during the week-end. A hoy, Trevor Gunter, aged eleven, was killed and six other members of his family injured, when a ear overturned in Stairwell Park, while six people were seriously injured by a similar accident at Wagga. A boy of six and a woman were killed in separate city accidents, being run down by motor-cars.—fl.P.A.
