CREDITORS TRUST COCHRAN. A WEMBLEY “FROSTS’ LONDON. April 23. Tn the Bankruptcy Court to-day, C. E. Cochran’s unsecured creditors were said to claim £9>5,614; while his assets were stated at £3494. It was disclosed that h : s ch ef losses were £9S,OUO on the New Oxford Theatre, £37,000 on four ethers, and £SOOO on a vain attempt to arrange a Dempsey-Carpentier fight. Bankrupt’s offer to pay £IOOO, covering the costs of the bankruptcy, conditional on h:s receiving an immediate discharge, was accepted. The representative of 78 crad ! 'ois. with claims totalbug £73,911. raid they desired Cochran’s .• oisohaige, believing that he would pay Ins ci editors as lie did after lu's previous bankruptcy. The Amusement Construction Company, which purchased the principal concessions in the Amusement Park at Wembley, explained that its bankruptcy was due to other cempan es being unable to fulfil their contracts, owing to the lack of public support of the exhibition affecting side-shows, and also to the heavy overtime that had to he paid during the work of construction. The assets were stated <*t £19,034. and the liabilities at £lO6 815. It was decided to leave the company’s affairs in the receiver’s hands.
