ANNUAL MEETING

The adjourned annual meeting of' subscribers to the Turanganui library was held last evening, the Rev. E. Ward presiding over an attendance of about thirty. In moving the adoption of the report and- balance-sheet, which have previously been published, Mr. J. Mouat stated that .a comparation with other balance-sheets revealed a satisfactory financial position in view of the conditions which had existed. The motion was seconded by Mr. W. 11. Westbrooke, and carried. Officers for the ensiling year were elected as follows: —President, Rev. E. Ward; vice-presidents Mrs. Walker and Mr. J. Mouat; committee. Messrs R. R. Baldrey, G. T. Maunder, L. T. Burnard, W. 11. Westbrooke, Horn, A. Todd, Rev. E. T. Cox, and Misses Sievwright and Greer; lion, auditor, Mr. H. M. Portei
