*'A ROMANY LASS” AND “A PERFECT LOVER,”

As is customary at this theatre oil Saturday evenings the new programme at Everybody’s was witnessed by a capacity house last Saturday evening. A Harma production entitled ‘‘A -Romany Lass” occupies pride of place oil the bill and stars James Knight and Marjorie Vil.is jn the leading, roles. Donald MacLean (Jametf Knight) in “A Romany Lass” is known as a coward, since he never attempted to defend himself by word or deed. His father, ashamed of bis son’s character is struck by the. dominating personality of Rilka, a gypsy queen. Demand and Rilka are married, despite the threats of a gypsy who thought to have her for himself, Rhvel, released from jail/ takes Rilka from; Donald, who is yet too- cowardly to effectually protest. Donald’s, father, wild at his sop’s, timidity, 'strikes at him with a .club, and the motion brings hack to'the'boy’s mind the torture .of the African savages who swung clubs before his face to break his morale-. ' Donald’s manliness returns. He whips Rovel in a gypsy knife.-fight,and brings hack his wife. The second . feature; “The Perfect Lover”, shows Eugene O’Brien as a poor artist who is loved' by four women, but who deterinmes to win the.love of another.- How lie accomplishes this , .task comprises a delightful photo-play of premier en Pertaining, merit?' A number of well chosen supports are screened in addition. The same programme .will be presented this • evening and seats may he reserved at Miller’s Corner.
