Press Association Telegram. CHRISTCHURCH. April 17. At the Supreme Court to-day tlie Canterbury Law Society proceeded to have a rule nisi made absolute striking Robert Daniel Mclvor, of Kaikoura, off the roll of solicitors. Mr. Justice Herdman ordered the rule nisi to be removed to the Court of Appeal, Mclver being suspended from practice in the meantime. -AUCKLAND. April 17. The chief Government drainage engineer. Mr. J. B. Thompson, has requested Mr. John Cullen, commissioner in charge of tlie Jugo-Slav organisation department, to supply-2QO Jugo-Slavs for emplovi.ie at on the North Auckland, Hauraki, and Rangitaiki drainage works. The - men have already been notified to report to the engineer in charge of various works, some within one week and others not later than three weeks. ELTHA-M. April 17. Joseph Halliday, single, of Hast ings and Napier district, was arrested here last'night for failing to register under the Military Service Act. He appears at Court to-morrow.
