RETURNED SOLDIERS’ PAPER
Following the example of many other organisation, the New Zealand Returned Soldiers’ Association has decided to publish an official paper.' Experience has proved, during the past twe years that such a link between returned men and all classes of the public is an urgent necessity. The main purpose of the paper will be one of helpfulness to returned men and tb.eir dependents, but the plan of contents provides a variety of features to interest the general public. “Quick March” will be national in soooo. it will present the constructive thoughts and plans of many of this Dominion’s brighest minds. ’ Thus the paper should have an important function the making of the New Zealand. As tie paper is wholly owned and solely controller by the N.Z.R.S.A. the Publication Committee expects the he; rty co-operation of returned men in promoting “Quick March.” Members who have interesting memories of the war, photographs and sketches (suitable for reproduction), Documents or papers published by soldiers? are requested to communicate with the honorary Editor. Mr. O. W. Batten, • *ox 1010, Wellington. Mr. John Mack ay, formerly Government Printer is honorary Manager, Mr. J. I. Fox, Manager of the Returned Soldiers’ Club, Wellington, is honorary organiser. An effort is being made to have the first number pubhshed before Anzae Day, 25ih April. During the first six months, the issue will bo monthly. At the end 1 of .that period it is hoped to have a fortnightly or weekly publication.
