NATIONAL SERVICE LEAGUE.

ORGANISER TO VISIT GISBORNE

Mr. F. Norris.’ the lion, organiser of the National Service League, which has its headquarters in Masterton, will visit Gisborne next week with the object of giving addresses at the various schools. The objects of’the movement are:— (1) To do all we can in the homes of our men while away, to cheer and help the old folks. (2) On their return to help them to regain their positions in civil life, many have given up good positions. (3) To honor all disabled men, as brave men should lie. Help them to learn to do something to gain a decent living, and patronise any small business they start. (4) To ‘entertain them on their return, and not ask them their experience at the front, in. order to be entertained by them, many wish to forget what they have gone through(s) Never to mention the word Charity, but let all our work for them, to he out of real gratitude. Buy the goods of New Zealand, or those made within the Empire; to make plenty of light work for disabled soldiers. (6) To make! the lives of war widows and orphans as bright as possible, and help the orphans to get a good start in lift 1 . Mr. Norris lias already given addresses on “How to Help the Empire” at over 50(1 of the largest schools and colleges in New Zealand.
