BOWLING.

GISBORNE CLUB. Saturday afternoon turned out fine enough to permit bowlers having a game, and a fair number of players were present. One game in Saturday Fours Competition was played. Results:— Saturday Fours—W. J. Smith, Thelwall, Maher (s) 18, beat Morgan, Gatland, Kyme (s) 16. Ordinary Games.—Fraser, Doan, Horne, Paltridge (s) 18, beat Williams Rev. Hamilton, Allan, Greig (s) 16; Redstone, Witty, Corson, Bright (s) 27. beat Chas. Parker, D. J. Barry, Robertson, Ponsford (s) 19. The following teams have been selected to represent the club in the second round of the penant matches on Thursday next at 2 o’clock “Witty” Penant (on Gisborne-gl-een) —Seymour, Harris, Bullock, W. A. Smith j Horne , Corson, Greig, Ponsford; Zaohariah, Thelwell, Kyme, T. A. Crawford. Jeune Pennant (on Turangamii green). —Ashton, Allan, C’olobrook, R. G. Crawford ; O’Meara, D. G. Robertson, Humphries, Ambridgo; Leslie, Ed. Williams, Wootton, Arnold.

TURANGANUI CLUB. Owing to the rain on Saturday morning, and the threatening appearance of the weather in the afternoon, there was only a small muster of players at the Turanganui green on Saturday afternoon. One rink, however, braved the elements, and had & roll up, though rain compelled them to shelter in the pavilion once or twice. ELECTRIC LIGHT TOURNAMENT. The Club intend starting another of their popular Electric Light tournaments to-morrow night. Entries closed on Saturday night, when no less than 23 players handed in their names. The teams will be arranged to-day, and will appear in to-morrow morning’s issue.. Each team will meet each team, and two games of 11 heads will he played by each team each night. The winners will take four pair of Taylor’s best bowls, two pairs being presented' l>v Mr H. Martin and two pairs by the Club.

WITTY PENNANT. The following teams have been selected to represent the Turanganui Club in the match for tlie Witty Pennant against the Gisborne Club on the latter’s green next Thursday:— Colley, Hay, Bennett. Simson (s). Taylor, P. Howard, J. J. Martin, Sawyer (skip). Jeune, M. Neill, M. W. Craig, Thacker (skip). JEUNE PENNANT. Teh following teams have been sol; ected to represent the Turanganui Club against the Gisborne Club in the match for the Jeune Pennant on Thursday next: — Jenkins, B. Dudfield, W. Howard, D. Barry (skip). Dooley, G. C. Munns, W. Coults, W. Bruce (skip). J. Mahoney, T. McConnell, H. Flavell, Ratcliffe (skip). The match will be played on the rruranganui green.
