NOTED SOCIALIST’S ESTATE.
The heirs of Herr Bebel, the German Socialist leader, who died at his villa at Zurich hist August while on a visit to his family, have just paid to the Swiss fiscal authorities the duties on £50,000, the amount of Bebel’s estate in that country. It is estimated, however, that Bebel’s Geramn estate amounts U> anything between £IO,OOO and £20,000.’ The contents of the will have not been made public, but it is understood that the fortune remains to the family, and that a comparatively small sum has been left to the German Socialist Party.
