TRANSPLANTING GLANDS.
THE AMERICAN EXPERIMENTS. (United Press Association—Copyright!, (Received March 8. 5.5 p.m.) NEW YORK. March 8. Dr. Lydston announced at a meeting of the Chicago Medical Association that he had successfully transplanted the generative gland of a dead }>erson to the body of a living man. It now transpires that when unable to find a subject willing to undergo the operation, he performed it on himself and also implanted in a woman the generative organs of a dead woman 12 hours after death. The wound is healing rapidly, and there is everv indication of success.
