ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS.
[PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM CHRISTCHURCH, March S. Alfred llansley, aged 45 years, a telegraph messenger residing at Addington, shot himself with a doublebarrelled gun this morning. He had been ill for some time. The body of Frederick, Landor Mouldey, a well-known wine merchant, was found on the Port hills above his father’,., residence at Heathcote with a gunshot through the throat. At the inquest it was stated that Mouldev was out shooting rabbits on Friday about 11.30 a.m. and chatted with a neighbor, whom he left to go to dinner. ’Hie neighbor found the body yesterday lying on its back, the barrel' of the gun resting on the left shoulder and the left arm over the gun. Deceased had been trying to get through a gate. A verdict of death bv being accidentally shot. whilst shooting rabbity was returned. AUCKLAND, March 7. William Richard Waters, an old age pensioner, was knocked down last night bv a tram when crossing Karangahape Road. He was removed to the hospital, suffering from injuries to the head, and died this morning. WELLINGTON, March 7.

Alfred Jesse Sevens, a married man, aged 5-1 years, living apart from his wife, committed suicide yesterday by talcing poison. He had been in depressed spirits for some time through lack of employment. He was formerly an able seaman oil the "VNairuna. Two inmates of the Old Men s Home died suddenly yesterday. They were James Bevan and Henry Pike, 80 years and 03 years respectively. Inquests were held to-day, the verdict inboth cases being that death was due to heart failure.
