FIJI EMBEZZLEMENT CHARGES.
ACCUSED DISCHARGED. [PEE PRESS ASSOCIATION.! AUCKLAND, Aug. 2. Wm. Greenland, secretary of the Fiji Fruit Company, who was arrested on board the Zenlandia on Wednesday morning on a charge of having stolen £36 of his firm's money, was brought before the Magistrate to-day and discharged. The police received directions from Fiji advising that defendant should be ■permitted to return by the Makura without noliro escort.
Mr and Mrs Greenland left for Suva by the Makura to-night.
