MOERANGI BLOCK TO BE OPENED. [PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, Aug._2. An area of approximately' _ 35,000 acres in the Moerangi block is to be opened for settlement. The land was recently acquired from the Native owners' by the Crown and the Minister for Lands stated this evening thathe had instructed the officers of the Lands Department to proceed with the survey and the subdivision of tlie area. Tlie survey parties will commence this work‘early in September. Tlie Moerangi block is partly in the Waikato County and partly in tlie King Country.
