ENTERTAINMENTS.
PAT'HE PICTURES. A change of fare is promised patrons of the Pathe Pictures this evening, and a long list of specialities figure on the programme. Of the great variety of interesting subjects one entitled l "Tlie Mexican Filibusters” is by far the most noteworthy. In view of the recent Mexican Rebellion it is doubly interesting, and it possesses a reality seldom found in films of this nature. The story, in its opening stages, relates rue love affairs of a Mexican and. the daugnter of a fruit company’s. agent. The young man is not alone in his regard for the girl, but is jealously watched by a fellow countryman, who is not at all favored by the girl. In the early days of the rebellion the fruit company’s agent does a little contrabanding and the exciting scenes connected with the entraining of arms to the insurgents are full of excitement. "The Winning of the Step Children” is a cheerful little story by the Vibagraph Coy. Many other good films are included. The series will, no doubt, ue greatly enjoyed.
