MR. MASSEY’S CAMPAIGN. CHANGE IN POLITICAL FEELING. I SPECIAL TO TIMES.! WELLINGTON. August 15. Mr Massey has returned from a week end tour of the Masterton, Eketalmna and Paliiatua districts. In an interview this evening, he stated that he was delighted with liis trip. He was received most enthusiastically in all three places, and the meetings lie addressed were crowded. At Masterton the meeting was generally admitted to he one of the best ever held in the district. “It was certainly good,” said Mr Massey, “one of the most enthusiastic I ever had the opportunity of addressing. and I could not help being struck with the wonderful change that has spoke in Masterton some five years ago. The electors then were somewhat cold in regard to the Opposition, but at the meeting the other evening the warmth of feeling from start to finish was undoubted.” - Asked if he had anything to say about the new electoral boundaries, Mr Massey said he had not yet had time to study them closely, neither had he yet been able to communicate with his own supporters. In the meantime he would not say what electorate lie would contest, but ho would make his intention known shortly.
