MAILS MISS THE EXPRESS. (PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.! INVERCARGILL. August 14. When the Moana hove in sight at Bluff about 11.15 a.m. there was a fairly strong flood tide flowing, and after passing the lightship, the incoming tide caught the stem of the vessel and swung her broadside on to the current. Her anchor was let go and endeavors made to get the stern of the vessel in a line for the wharf. All efforts were, however, abortive, and a tug was signalled for, and sent to her assistance. By her aid the Moana berthed at about 12.45, but the delay caused the mails to miss the 12.30 p.m! train.
