STRATFORD DAIRY FACTORY DAMAGED;

LPF.R PRESS ASSOCIATION.! STRATFORD, March 31. A fire broke out- in the boiler house of the Stratford dairy factory early this morning. The brigade’s efforts saved the main building. The damage' is estimated at about £2OO. The insurances are £3915.

A FINE RESIDENCE) RESTROYED. GREYMOUTH, March 31. Mr. Hugh Scott’s fine residence at Nelson Creek which contained a valuable collection of pictures, also splendid furniture, was totally destroyed by fire at midnight. The ihsiirance was £350 in the Victoria office, but Mr. Scott estimates' his loss at £Boo' to £IOOO above the insurance. The occupants barely escaped with their lives.
