Boochy R. MaoDooald, a well-known gentleman rider, was most seriously hurt at the Geraldine Racing Club’s Spring Meeting to-day. He was riding in the Hunters’ Hurdles when his horse fell at the fourth hurdle. Ho was picked up unconscious, and hud not shown any signs of reoovory to-night.

At a meeting of the City Council tonight the Mayor announced he would give £l5O of tho honorarium to subsidise tbe city bands to play in public parks.
