Owing to small supplies, salesmen anticipate an excellent market for Australian apples in the first half of the season. The early spring may affect later shipments. Wheat : An Australian cargo sold at 33s ; 11,000 quarters loading at 325.

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile 1 Agency Company, Limitedj yesterday re- 1 ceived the following cablegram from their 1 London office “ Wool : Market closed strong for all sorts. Market has been lowsr 1 since wo last tolographod, but has re-1 covered. As compared with last sales closing-rates, prices are lower (about par to 5 per cent.) for merino medium and inl forior and faulty wool. About 10 per I oant. lower for medium greasy crossbred, coarse crossbred, coarse crossbred slips I and medium crossbred slipe. About 5 per 1 cent, to 7£ per cent, lower for lambs, fine I greasy crossbred, coarse scoured crossbred and fine crossbred slipe. Average current ( London value of the un&ernoted desoripI lions of New Zealand greasy wool is : 1 Hood merino 13d, medium 11-id, inferior j:9d ; fine crossbred 12d, medium lOd j coarse (40’s) coarse (36’s) BJd.”
