SWEDEN ACCEPTS ISRAEL’S APOLOGY
(10.30 a.m.) STOCKHOLM. July 5. Sweden today formally accepted Israel’s apologies for her handling of the search for the assassins of Count Folke Bernadotte, the U.N. mediator in the Palestine war. and declared that her exchange with Israel on the subject was closed. This was done in a 'Swedish Note to the Israel Government which was viewed here as paving the way for Sweden’s recognitions dc jure of Israel. Sweden has withheld full recognition of Israel pending the settling of the Bernadotte case.
