AUSTRALIANS OFFER FOR U.S. FORCES
SYDNEY, July 5. Many men and women have asked the United States consulates to send them to fight in Korea. Volunteers in Melbourne include 30 former Australian soldiers, several exarmy nurses and some European and British migrants. The consulates are telling them that the United States Government has not yet appealed for volunteers and, if it does, Australians and migrants will have to be recruited by the Commonwealth.
