“Wonderful Example” Set By N.Z. In Help For Children

WELLINGTON, July 6.

New Zealand has set a wonderful example in helping other peoples’ children. This is the opinion of Mrs. Grace Holmes, field officer for the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund, as expressed at a press conference in Wellington yesterday after her arrival from New York. Mrs. Holmes will assist in New Zealand in the United Nations appeal. She will spend three weeks in the Dominion and two in Australia and will later go to the East. She has already visited Europe for the fund.

Today Mrs. Holmes is meeting the Dominion executive of the appeal and on Friday will address a women’s meetin Christchurch. Next week she will visit other centres in the South Island.
