FINED FOR BEING DRUNK

A fine of £1 .was imposed on Patrick Cahill, labourer. Waimata. in the Gisborne Police Court yesterday on a charge of being found drunk in Peel Street on June 1 after having been once previously convicted for a similar offence in the past six months. The defendant did not appear. Messrs. M. W. Craig and S D. Nathan. J.P.s were on the bench and the police were represented by Sergeant D. M. Campbell.
