(P.A.) WELLINGTON. March 24. SDecial cameras for photographing Ihe aurorae are to be installed at the Taicri aerodrome, near Dundein, and at Invercargill aerodrome. When the cameras are in full ooeration the men operating them will be linked by telephone to enable them to take simultaneous exDosures of the same auroral form

The director of the Carter Observatory. Mr. I. L. Thomsen said today that with the co-operation of the radio research committee of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research and of the Meteorological Office, the instal lation of the cameras by Mr. D. M. Garner next week will make possible the planning of more systematic auroral work in the future . Photographs taken in Dunedin and Invercargill will be forwarded to the Carter Observatory for development and scientific measurement.
