•(10 a.m.) WASHINGTON, March 22. The Secretary of State, Mr. Dean Acheson said todav he would give careful consideration to suggestions o£ the United Nations’ Secretary-General, M. Trygve Lie for ending the cold war. M. Lie. in putting forward yesterday a 20-year programme to win world peace by ‘give and take negotiations” suggested, among other things, the holding of periodic meeting of the Security Council at which the Foreign Ministers or even the heads of the Governments could review the world situation.
