QUARTERLY LICENSE FOR HEAVY VEHICLES TO COST £lB-15-0

(P A.) WELLINGTON, March 24. Heavy motor vehicle regulations which will come into effect on June 1 and which will revoke those of 1940 were Gazetted last night. Alterations which appear in the new regulations include a different scale of road classification and amended license fees in respect of class Q vehicles, the quarterly fee for which now becomes £lB 15s. the maximum allowed by the Act.

Stewart Island is now to be included in the southern-most heavy traffic district. now No. 19. At June 1 all existing road classifications become revoked and new classifications will then be Gazetted.
