DURBAN.

A \woman who swallowed a needle five years ago has found it—sticking out of her stomach. Th woman swallowed the needle when she opened a telegram giving news of her husband’s death. She had the needle in her mouth when she opened the telegram. X-rays failed to reveal the needle. Recently she complained of pains in the stomach.

A few days ago the point of the needle appeared like a projecting splinter, It was removed after a slight operation.—Reuter.
