Mo Replacement Of Injured Players

AUSTRALIAN MATCH

As all games will be played under international rules it has been agreed that there will be no replacement of injured players at any time during the game, the New Zealand Rugbv Union advised the P.B. Union management committee at its meeting last night when detailing final arrangements for the Australian Rugby team’s match with the combined P.8.-East Coast side at the Oval on Wednesday, August 24. In all. there will be 25 players, with two managers, visiting Gisborne. Accompanying them will be the Australian Rugby writers, Messrs. E. W. Kann, Tierney and Tressider.

Mr. F. Bayliss will be the referee. The committee extended its congratulations to him on his appointment and to the Gisborne Referees’ Association on the selection of one of its members to control an international match. Mr. J. R. Smith was appointed manager of the combined side.
