DUTCH HAD TO END “VALUELESS TRUCE” STATES PREMIER

(11.30 a.m.) LONDON, Dec. 20. While the Premier, Dr. Willem Drees, was giving the Netherlands Parliament a review of the action in Indonesia, several men in the public galleryshouted “down with the colonial war! We want peace.” Three men were escorted from the Chamber and then released. Dr. Drees stated that the first results of the military action in Indonesia had come up to expectations. He compared the Dutch position in Indonesia with that of the Greek Government in its fight against the rebels. He added that the Dutch Government had felt itself obliged “to end the valueless truce” and act with all means at its disposal.
