TAXI DRIVER SENT TO PRISON

(P.A.) WELLINGTON, Dec. 20 Oliver James Parker, aged 39. a taxi driver, was sentenced to one month'? gaol in the Police Court today for being intoxicated in charge of a taxi on the night of December 16. in imposing the sentence. Mr. A. M. Goulding. S.M., said that although Parker may not have been on duty the very fact that be was driving a taxi might have induced someone to boil him and drive with him. It was a ease for imprisonment. The. accused's license was cancelled for six months.
