LENDING LIBRARY FOR RECORDS

(P.A.) AUCKLAND. Aug. 30. “Pictures and music are just as much a part of the educational environment as books,” said Mr. F. A. Sandall, Auckland University College librarian, commenting today on the establishment of a lending library for records at the college. This development results from the recent formation of a gramophone association administered by a student committee. A start has been made with 200 records, but new purchases will be made as records become available. Members pay an annual subscription of £l. The college council subsidises the lending library on a £ and £ basis.
